New Year’s Resolutions Don’t Work!

Many of us make resolutions at New Year and when we make them, we have good intentions and are committed to the cause. Statistically however, most of them fail. Not because we didn’t really mean it, but simply because they weren’t well thought out goals with achievable outcomes.

NLP teaches us a really easy way to construct goals that our unconscious mind will deliver, often in ways we couldn’t have consciously conceived. I wrote a goal in 2006, stating that I wanted to leave my well paid job in September 2009, with a significant sum of money. I had no idea how that might work, but in April 2009 I was offered, and accepted, voluntary redundancy. I left at the end of October 2009 with a nice big cheque, 6 weeks later than planned because of a legal loophole the company initially over looked. A great testament to the power of a good goal, the unconscious mind and the law of attraction I think!
